Lake Wisconsin Vacation Home Rental Good times and Relaxation are what you’ll find when renting our furnished Vacation Home on Lake Wisconsin. Whether you spend your time on the Water or the Ski Slopes, visiting Area Attractions, or Relaxing at the house, you’ll find plenty to do with your Family and Friends!                Water's Edge Retreat is conveniently located midway between Madison and the Wisconsin Dells, and is just off Hwy. 90/94/39.  It’s only 90 minutes from Milwaukee, 3 hours from downtown Chicago, 2 hours from Dubuque or 4 hours from Minneapolis.      Master Bedroom w/King Bed, Flatscreen TV, and Sliding Doors to Deck, plus Space for your portable crib on the side of the bed.                          Inside you'll find 3 lovely Bedrooms and 1 Bath with a Walk-in Shower. We are happy to provide towels for showering. Each room is tastefully furnished and all beds have new mattresses. The Master Bedroom has a King size bed, 20" TV with Digital Cable and DVD player, and Sliding Glass Doors that open onto the Deck with a View out to the Lake. The 2nd Bedroom has a Queen size bed with a 20" TV with Digital Cable, DVD/VHS, and the 3rd Bedroom has 2 Twin beds with a 20" TV with Digital Cable and DVD player. There is also a Queen Sleeper Sofa and Twin Sleeper Chair in the living area where you can awaken to a Panoramic view of the Lake.  The house is cooled in the summer by Central Air Conditioning and there are also ceiling fans in each room if you prefer to enjoy the cool air through the open windows.  The kitchen has everything you need to cook your meals plus more, and is part of a Greatroom along with the living and dining areas, and a Fireplace. They are all accented by a Cathedral Ceiling and a 22’ glass wall that provides a breathtaking view of beautiful Lake Wisconsin! There is plenty of room in the driveway for your boat/trailer, RV, jetskis or snowmobiles and several cars just a few steps from the house.                        We have a 22', 2006 Pontoon Boat available exclusively to our guests for rent during their stay.  Some boating/driving experience is required.  See "Boating" section for more details. You can launch your own boat just down the street or Rent our Pontoon and keep it docked at your pier. The water is 3-4 feet deep at the end of the pier which allows ample room for bigger boats. Lake Wisconsin has Walleye, White Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Muskie, Crappie and Catfish and is connected to the Wisconsin River which gives you access to even more fishing and areas to explore. You might even see a bald eagle along with the turtles, herons and white pelicans. Relax outside on the Wrap-Around Deck that overlooks the Lake, try out the Hammock in the shade or recline on the sitting area at the end of the pier.  There’s a Gas Grill and plenty of Deck Furniture to enjoy your meals outside.  There is also a Fire Pit in the yard for roasting marshmallows or keeping warm on cool evenings.               HOT TUB: Beautiful Master Spa hot tub with "Foot Therapy" feature seats 7-8 persons comfortably. It has plenty of jets to ease any aches and pains, or just soothe and relax, and is positioned for the best view to watch the sunset!                   Feel like lounging inside? We have Board Games, Puzzles, a classic N64 Video Game System with controllers and games, and a 52” HD Plasma Flatscreen TV with Surround Sound, digital cable, DVR, DVD, VHS and movie channels.  What better way to watch your favorite teams play or enjoy a good movie on the big screen!  Feel free to bring your own movies, or watch some of the ones we have in our library. Listen to our CD's or yours and play tunes from your iPOD on the Stereo while you relax. FALL/WINTER: You'll witness spectacular views no matter what the season! Rolling hills and beautiful countryside are the perfect setting for viewing fall colors and winter landscapes. Take a drive to the Wollersheim Winery, MacKenzie Environmental Center, antiques shops, State Parks and Ski Slopes (Devil's Head, Cascade).  In the winter months, you can ice-skate or ice-fish literally in your back yard.  During January, February and some of March there are weekend Snowmobile and ATV races on Lake Wisconsin!  Winter is the best time to spot bald eagles in the area and there is an Eagle Festival nearby in January.  (Mid season rates apply to stays between 11/20 and 11/29/09 and also 12/17/09 to 1/3/10) SPRING/SUMMER:  Your private pier awaits you with plenty of space to park all of your water toys (ski boat, pontoon, jetskis, canoes, etc.). The water at the end of the pier is 3-4’ deep for docking boats, fishing or swimming! There's even a bench to wait for the fish to bite or watch the sun rise and set. Just a short drive away is a small playground and ankle deep wading beach perfect for small children, dogs and launching canoes. Pier will be in the water early May through the end of October, weather permitting. When you are ready to come inside, rinse off with the outdoor hot water shower just inside the gate. There are hooks on the gate for your towels.  Come relax or play at Water’s Edge Retreat!
